## Verification Statuses

- **Deliverable (Confirmed)**: SMTP mailbox exists and accepted the probe. High confidence.
- **Deliverable (Unconfirmed)**: DNS records valid but mailbox could not be confirmed via SMTP (e.g. provider blocks probes).
- **Risky (Catch-all)**: Domain accepts all email addresses. Individual mailbox existence cannot be confirmed.
- **Invalid**: Available evidence identifies a syntax, domain, MX, or mailbox failure; suppress or review the address before sending.
- **Invalid Domain**: Domain has no MX records or DNS resolution failed.
- **Unknown**: Verification could not be completed due to timeout or server issues.

4. DMARC record and policy check
5. SMTP connection and mailbox probe (RCPT TO)
