Insufficient Credits: What Happens?

Understanding what happens when you run low on credits helps you avoid disruptions to your workflow.

Single Verification

If you try to verify an email with zero credits, the request will be rejected with an error message prompting you to purchase more credits. No verification is performed.

Bulk Verification

When uploading a CSV, Mailthentic checks your credit balance against the number of unique emails in the file. If you don't have enough credits, the job won't start and you'll see how many additional credits are needed.

Scheduled Jobs

If a scheduled (recurring) verification job triggers and your balance is too low, the job is skipped. You'll receive a notification and can re-trigger it manually after purchasing credits.

Low Balance Notifications

Enable credit notifications in your Account Settings to receive alerts when your balance drops below a threshold. This is available via email notifications.

Buying More Credits

Visit the Credits page in your dashboard to purchase a credit pack instantly. Credits are added to your account immediately after payment.
