Your preferences

Strictly necessary (always on) Signing in, security, and preventing signup abuse. These cannot be switched off, because the site cannot work without them. No consent is required for them and they are never used to track you across other websites. Analytics Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, so we can see which pages are useful and where people get stuck. Marketing Meta Pixel and affiliate attribution, so we can measure whether our advertising works.

What a cookie is used for here

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We group ours by what they are for, and we only set the ones you allow.

Strictly necessary

Session and CSRF keep you signed in and protect forms from being submitted by another site on your behalf.
Device id (mt_did) is a random value used only to spot the same browser opening several accounts. It is first party, it is never shared with anyone, and it is never used to build a profile of you or to track you across other sites. That is why it is classed as strictly necessary and is not covered by the toggles above.

Analytics

Google Analytics tells us which pages get used.
Microsoft Clarity records how people move through pages so we can find broken flows.

Marketing

Meta Pixel measures whether our advertising leads to signups.
Affiliate attribution (mt_aff) records which partner referred you, so they are paid correctly.

Where you are changes your rights, and we follow the stricter rule

EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland and Brazil. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies loads until you agree. If you never answer the banner, nothing loads.
United States. You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information at any time, and we honour Global Privacy Control automatically.
Everywhere else. You can change these settings whenever you like.

How to withdraw

Use the toggles above, or the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page. When you turn a category off we also delete the cookies that belonged to it. See the privacy policy for how we handle personal data more broadly.
