Mailthentic has two free paths. The public free email checker runs a limited number of single-address DNS checks without signup. A new account can receive verification credits for dashboard jobs, subject to the current per-job limit and account eligibility.
The exact signup credit amount and free bulk limit are configuration values shown in the product. We do not repeat fixed numbers here because commercial settings change. No credit card is required to create an account, but API-key access and some integrations are paid features.
What each path includes

Run a small bulk check
- Create an account and confirm the current allowance shown on screen.
- Prepare a CSV or XLSX with one identifiable email column.
- Open the bulk verifier and review your displayed limit.
- Upload only a permission-based list. Duplicate normalized addresses are processed once.
- Review valid, risky, invalid, and unknown buckets before export.
A free allowance is useful for evaluating the workflow or cleaning a small list. It is not unlimited, and Microsoft or Google hosted results can remain unconfirmed.
When payment is required
You may need credits or a subscription when a list exceeds the displayed allowance, when you need a larger job cap, or when you want API-key access. A connector must also be marked live in the product before it is described as directly connectable.

- Is the check DNS-only or does it include SMTP?
